Some people suggest that you buy a MP5K if you are mostly doing CQB, or a M4 if you are going to shoot a lot in the woodland. We strongly suggest that you don’t base your decision on this. The reasons are:
- You don’t always play pure-CQB or pure-woodland – you will likely do both.
- If you are gaming at the stock power level, the difference in power and range between a MP5K and a M4 wouldn’t be significant.
- You can always make your AEG “longer”. For example, you can install a longer inner barrel into a MP5K and hide it with a mock suppressor. On the other hand, it would be quite difficult for you to cut a M4 short.
- We honestly believe that a user’s body height should be given serious consideration when choosing his weapon. A short guy with a long rifle may lead to poor mobility. A tall guy with a shorty may look extremely weird…
Ease of maintenance is a major factor to consider.
