The MP7 mechbox uses 8 pcs of bushings. The stock plastic bushings should do just fine under the following conditions:
- they are adequately lubed
- your gun runs at stock power
- you do not push the gun with high power battery
- you often keep your gun under proper usage
Even without upgrade, you should in any case replace the stock plastic bushings after around 20000~25000 shots due to normal wear and tear.
You should use metal bushings whenever you want to go beyond the stock power level. Nine Ball offers steel bushings for the MP7. Note that shimming must be done all over again when you install new bushings. When installing new bushings, make sure you have them properly aligned with the place holders.
