Fortunately, the G36C is one of the BEST AEGs based on the V3 gearbox. The gun is very solid and reliable. Therefore, upgrade becomes relatively less difficult. There are some minor issues with the design of the gun that can be fixed without much difficulty. In particular it has a leaky hopup – the hopup opening (where the nozzle gets into the hopup) is of a two-part design (the upper half and the lower half). Since the lower half is supposed to be easily detachable for disassembling the gun, no sealant can be applied, thus making it possible for air to escape from the tiny gap in between. Based on our experience, however, the problem is not a significant one. Unless you have done something silly which makes the lower half worn out, air leakage is hardly observable.
