A valve is a device that can be used to control the flow of gases. Also known as regulators, valves can be found in everywhere in the architecture of a gas gun. There are a number of different designs for valves, depending on how they are being used in the gun. Valves can also vary from the extremely basic to the extraordinarily complex.
It is possible to upgrade the valve which controls the amount of gas allowed to flow through the gas passage at any given time. A high flow valve can increase FPS but you will need to recharge more frequently (as more gas is used for delivering each shot). In any case it is never a good idea to build one on your own – a valve is a high precision part after all. Go get a ready-made one, there are plenty of these available off-the-shelf (especially for name branded guns).
