CO2, 134a and green gas (i.e. Top Gas in most countries) are the most popular types of gas in use today. The gas is either injected into a reservoir chamber (termed pressure accumulation chamber) within the magazine or attached to an exterior assembly containing the gas canister and an expansion tank. By pulling the trigger, the pressurized gas is released at the valve atop the reservoir or from the expansion tank and is channeled through a directed nozzle at the bullet, creating the pressure necessary to launch the bullet out of the barrel.
